I have finally gotten off my lazy behind and downloaded all my pictures to the computer. Here are pictures of our Harley. This is what it looked like the day it was delivered. Since then we have added a few things, like a backrest for me. Enjoy!

Long awaited update!

Kyle left May 17th for Ft. Benning. He was originally supposed to be there until August but they are working six days a week so he gets to come home early!! Its hard on him because he never gets any time off and the school is very hard but he is, of course, making it look easy. He is so smart. As for me, I quit my job at the preschool and my last day is on Tuesday. The school can be fun and the kids can be cute but for the most part it is very hard work. I have never been so disrespected my whole life and to make it worse, its by five year olds. I'm very glad I did not become a teacher. I've sent my resume to a couple different places and now I'm playing the waiting game. Other than that, not much else is going on here. I'm looking forward to going home for the Fourth of July. It will be nice to see my family. I will even get to see one of Johana's softball games!

Very Proud

So this year Johana started 8th grade this year and it has been an awesome year for her. Just a little background, Johana came home five years ago and had never been to school, didn't know any English, and didn't know how to read or write in Spanish. She started school in the third grade and since then has been trying to catch up. Her teachers have been wonderful and have allowed her to do "modified" assignments, take tests over, and have even tutored her. This year she started doing all of the same assignments as the other kids and has gotten B's and C's on her report card all year long. To me that is amazing. Coming from a background of never going to school to learning English and being able to get B's and C's in school. Well, her hard work paid off. All the teachers voted her the Most Improved Student of the Year!! I am so proud of her. These are pictures mom took of her award.
